3DA: How did you start working in 3D field? How much time has been passed and what kind of studies did you do?
MC: First of all I would like to thank 3darchittetura.com for this opportunity. I started working in Architectural Visualization Industry for almost 6 years ago; I used to work in a Design Studio since 2008 and have undergone so many projects mostly residential and some commercial interiors. I started to learn doing 3D way back 2006 and I only knew Sketchup software during that time then later on 3ds Max was introduced with my colleagues since most of them used to work in this software it was a really a tough challenge for me to learn the program too, I did a lot of self study and practice till I finally learn the basic function of its tools.
3DA: Which are your favorite software and plugins for your daily projects?
MC: I’m more comfortable working with 3ds Max + Vray and Photoshop for post production, aside from that I also like to use Floor Generator along with Multitexture Map in creating wood floors it’s a script developed by CG-Source.
3DA: Tell us something about a project that gave you great satisfactions
MC: There’s a particular work that I did recently that I am proud of it is a small space interior showing a kitchen and a living area, what I like about in this project is that there’s no pressure since it’s just a personal work in addition to my portfolio so I have a lot of time to plan and I was able to finish the job in 3 days.
3DA: From where do you take inspiration for your artworks?
MC: I got inspirations from fellow CG Artists too, there’s just too many of them but one my favorite is Alex Roman and I also like scanning Architectural and Design Magazines and also sources from the web like Archdaily and I’m a fan reader from some CG Forums like Ronen Bekerman’s Blog and Evermotion website just to keep me updated from the current trends in CG Industry.
3DA: How do you live this period of economic crisis? How is it in your country?
MC: Unlike from other countries our company is not really greatly affected from economic crisis, we still have clients and it’s a good thing for us we’re still able to survive during these hard times.
3DA: What would you suggest to people that are approaching to 3D and architecture?
MC: Just a few words for those who’d like to take their career into CG or Architectural Visualization, never stop learning just keep on honing your skills, do a lot of research and learn from fellow artists too be open-minded when you want your work to be criticized only through that you will improved.
