3DA: How did you start working in 3D field? How much time has been passed and what kind of studies did you do?
DQ: I am Industrial Designer and I started doing 3D during the college, after that, I made a Master in 3D Architectural Visualization and Interior Design with Vray and Maxwell Render.
Has been only 5 years ago, quite short period of time but I may say I have been really lucky having the opportunity to be around really talented artists which has made much easier to develop my knowledge.
3DA: Which are your favourite software and plugins for your daily projects?
DQ: I generally use 3ds Max and Vray, but lastly I am trying Maxwell Render and Fryrender. For post production always Photoshop and After Effects.
3DA: Last week you get quoted in the 3ds Max’s official facebook page for your excellent coffee shop. Can you give us some exclusive informations about this project? For example, you created a tutorial besides the final images: which is the reason behind this choice? How will this work, tutorial and quote give a feedback on your career?
DQ: That project is something special for me, I have started it during my last year living in Amsterdam doing it in my free time after work, trying to test on it what I was learning day by day. At some point I got bored of it and just left it. So three months ago I decided to finish it doing some changes and nowadays is my most recognized project. Thank of this project I am answering this questions. Really proud of it.
3DA: From where do you take inspiration for your artworks?
DQ: I like to keep myself posted on the last trends of industrial and interior design, I love Scandinavian style and also I have been very influenced by Dutch design.
3DA: How do you live this period of economic crisis? How is it in your country?
DQ: I may say that I am a lucky guy, I have been working really hard far from home during last two years, first in Amsterdam and I was even close to move to Boston for work for Neoscape, the emigration is something that is getting common in Spain if you want to work in your field.
This last two years have given me the opportunity to work from home, and also in a studio in my country so I am crossing fingers to keep myself on this path.
3DA: What would you suggest to people that are approaching to 3D and architecture?
DQ: I think that is very important to be patient and hard working person, the beginning is really hard but if you really love what you do you have to keep yourself positive and keep going, the results always come. Also I think is very important to keep yourself posted in everything around this field such like, new software, new plugins, related websites, design news, architecture news and so on.
