CG Projects and Interviews with professional 3D artists

3D architectural visualization is an essential tool for designing and presenting environments and spaces. Through exclusive interviews, we give a voice to industry professionals: this way, 3D artists, designers, and architects can share their experiences, offering practical advice and work strategies.
Discover their rendering and 3D modeling techniques, the challenges they face in projects, and the innovations transforming the industry.
On 3D Architettura, we explore the most advanced methodologies for turning ideas into impactful visual representations, since we focus on everything from conceptual models to final renderings.

I began learning CG back in 1998 while at college for an architecture degree. A good friend of mine showed me some professional architectural CG renders that a company he worked with had done. I was immediately interested in learning CG for myself
I start working into the world of 3d when I was young and very fascinated about the world of movies with special effects like tron, starwars, and most of Pixar, also towards gamming graphics, I decided to learn figure out how start to learn, then i started to learn programming and from there i learned 3d time by time, i started to use first 3d program as 3dstudio relase 4 like 14 years ago.
I would like to share with you my experience of acquaintance with 3d-world. In my story I want to describe everything that helped me in my work, education and personal growth, and also all the difficulties, stopping my progress.
I studied Interior architect and my first contact with CG in 1995 when some friend showed me 3dstudio max. I was really fascinated about that great piece of software, and from that point computer graphics becomes my favorite hobby.
I always had this interest in renderings since architecture school. Architecture was and still is my passion. I always had a big interest in representing architecture using 3D representation.
After some years as a designer (first in the office, than freelance) I understood that this kind of job is not for me and started my cooperation with other designers making 3d renders for them.
I always admired visual scenarios built by Lucas and Cameron:I consider it very fascinating to know that nothing in their movies was real...Then I understood it was a great opportunity to create imaginary worlds myself and for my country.
I started working in the 3D field as an avenue to explain design ideas as an Architectural Job Captain. It was so well received with clients that I decided to make a full time career out of it. I have never looked back!
It was in the beginning of year 2010. I was still studying in high-school and started to choose my future profession to enter a university. So I have decided for interior design. While collecting more information about this work-field. I found a web-site where it was written that for making interior renders one should learn 3DS Max. That's how my acquaintance with 3d-graphic began.
Innitially, when I started to work on this image, my main purpose was a similar look than the original photo, but in the development process i've started to dreaming about which were the feelings i would like to feel in a room like this one, and then I've started to work for a very calm environment, with a really soft light and a peaceful atmosphere, simulating a little bit the lighting of a winter sunny morning.
Since my first render 3 years have passed. Hahaha, my first works were horrible! But instead of getting sad or disappointed, I always tried to get better, reading online tutorials and watching other people’s work.
I got in touch with the 3d world because I needed a tool to help me visualize my ideas, as I wanted to enter some design contests and I had been a bit frustrating before trying to involve other people into understanding what I wanted to achieve.
