CG Projects and Interviews with professional 3D artists

3D architectural visualization is an essential tool for designing and presenting environments and spaces. Through exclusive interviews, we give a voice to industry professionals: this way, 3D artists, designers, and architects can share their experiences, offering practical advice and work strategies.
Discover their rendering and 3D modeling techniques, the challenges they face in projects, and the innovations transforming the industry.
On 3D Architettura, we explore the most advanced methodologies for turning ideas into impactful visual representations, since we focus on everything from conceptual models to final renderings.

Innitially, when I started to work on this image, my main purpose was a similar look than the original photo, but in the development process i've started to dreaming about which were the feelings i would like to feel in a room like this one, and then I've started to work for a very calm environment, with a really soft light and a peaceful atmosphere, simulating a little bit the lighting of a winter sunny morning.
Always it is extremely difficult to tune adjustment of 3d modeled on real image. I solved it by learning how to deal with a real camera and used it in the virtual world.
With time we'll get even closer to reality, it will be hard to distinguish a virtual image from a photograph.
"I started 20 years ago doing 3d environments for educational software. Then move to an engineering company making mostly very technic images to help construction. Finally, in 2007, I opened my own company, Zorg."
Hmm…the project that gave me great satisfaction…for sure it was my first serious job. I was obliged to prepare some visualizations regarding diploma project for one girl. I’ve been total newbie this time for such a project. Of course, I couldn’t avoid any mistakes, problems and lots of sleepless nights – because of the deadline.
I started when I was in second year of architecture college approximately from 2004 I learned 3ds Max to visualize my college projects then I liked the field and started to develop my skills in 3D in general not for architecture only I worked on modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering and some more stuff.
At first I really didn't like Archviz, I found it very difficult at the time, but through the struggle of having to learn how to do it because my situation depended on it at the time sparked a passion for it, I have been an archviz artist mainly over the last 2 years and my desire to do what I do grows more everyday.
The biggest problem has always been the time, because the deadlines are getting shorter the solution is to run a good planning even before turning on your computer in order to minimize rework during the process, which could delay delivery.
The main components of a great render are: interesting design, good composition, balanced lighting, realistic materials and right camera angle.
Basically, 3D was just a hobby for me but ended up being a way of life. In the beginning I used to have it as a second job but then days went by and I loved it even more and in 2008 I opened my own office and named it xDream3D.
Show your projects to your friends and colleagues: professional feedback gives motivation to grow and helps to correct the mistakes.
Architecture will always be my true passion, the trigger that helped me develop my 3D skills and experiment with digital artwork. It opened many doors for me, like exhibiting images in Beirut, London, and New York. So for now I’m enjoying every project and I’m happy I chose this life path.
