I see many people who want to get into CG, looking too much to the tool and not at all to the art. Once I understood I had to study photography, posing, composition, even how a camera work, cinema, movement, colors and everything, my work started getting better.
As you already know, the last days of October animago Awards has announced the winners of this year. Today we would like to introduce you Stefan Larsson from Japan. His CG animation "Spatial bodies" was chosen by animago expert jury as the best Architecture Film of 2016.
I think all our personal works give us great satisfaction, because its there where we can learn more and show our main architecture and photography references, but also our rendering and post-production techniques.
Has been only 5 years ago, quite short period of time but I may say I have been really lucky having the opportunity to be around really talented artists which has made much easier to develop my knowledge.
Lot of my inspiration comes from various architectural websites. All the time I try to keep up with the latest projects and news in area of architecture and engineering.
There is a line between being good and being professional. Time, effort, hope and experience are necessary to achieve professionalism
To be honest, although I love architecture and still appreciate outstanding artworks in the traditional architecture rendering area, I focus on creating videogame art at the moment. Job wise, as already mentioned before, I work full time in the games industry for the german company Crytek, which is popular for its Crysis games and its first released title Far Cry.
I was born in 1986 in Iran, in the city of Maku. Since 2007, I started designing and I have been working professionally for more than 10 years in the design of architectural projects and training architecture.
Here in Brazil the market is heated, there are times with more and less demand. Marketing activities, and a little creativity when it comes to advertise the product are essential.
I started with the this world when I was finishing my career of architecture in Barcelona, Spain, long time ago. For the first time at the university, the computers were opened for student´s use…and I spent a lot of hours without moving of the chair. You can imagine how excited I was, in 1987, doing 3D with a computer.
I never regret the hard work, investigation, and trial and error that I have gone through. I think the best is to experiment and exchange ideas as well as information with other users.
Lighting is paramount to all good photography and Arch Vis and can be the difference between an ok image and a great one. Now, for me composition and balance is something I really try and consider.
