I started with the this world when I was finishing my career of architecture in Barcelona, Spain, long time ago. For the first time at the university, the computers were opened for student´s use…and I spent a lot of hours without moving of the chair. You can imagine how excited I was, in 1987, doing 3D with a computer.
Our goal is to make our animated video films and images evoke feelings and tell stories about the objects from which they are created.
What positively surprised me is the appearance of some useful plugins and scripts that are able to make 3d-work easier
I am glad I chose architecture studies, however I would work with 3d immediately after graduation instead of typical architectural job. Although I learned a lot designing and now is easy to understand other projects.
Feed your mind with nice real world references, understand color theory and keep all objects in your scene in scale.
There is plenty of different information, even too much. And it its abundance one should have a lot of patience for self-education: should be diligent and have a lot of time. The main problem now is not to find information, but to evaluate its quality. How are you going to spend your time and what result will you get?
I love the architecture and 3D. now it's like half of my heart. They can not be separated. I will always follow it and never changed.
I started about 14 years ago - I was helping my father and working in a local studio by the time in a few projects, very basic renders and not entirely sure what I was doing… But I was really loving it! :)
I have a degree in architecture, but my university did not give any inspiration to become an architect. To say more – it did completely the opposite. But I always liked to make beautiful presentations of my projects. I needed to work and to earn money so I decided to learn 3d.
The only way to make great work is to love what you do. And to spend time to improve yourself.
Most important in this industry is to work on materials, light and render settings. İf all of them are compatible we can end up with high level results.
3 years ago I did a small workshop regarding custom furniture for my client and that time I knew I needed 3D for doing good presentation to my customers. I started learning 3D from that time and absolutely I fall in love with this world and I decided to be full timer in this field.
