3DA: How did you start working in 3D field? How much time has been passed?
RR: I studied Engeneer Design at Technical University-Varna/Bulgaria when I first gained a more deeper insight into 3ds Max. I started working with Designconnected (online marketplace) nearly 6 years ago, and ever since I have been working with this software. Now, after a period of deep knowledge expansion, I am proud to be part of the Designconnected team, which main goal is to provide highest quality 3D models of designer furniture, lighting and accessories with maximum attention to proportions, shapes, details and textures.
3DA: Which are your favourite software and plugins for your daily projects?
RR: My favourite software which I use for my daily projects is 3ds Max with Vray and Photoshop to create my textures. Sometimes I need to use some other programs like Marvelous Designer, Zbrush and Mudbox for more specific details on my models or texturing.
3DA: Tell us something about a project that gave you great satisfactions.
RR: Since my work involves the creation of individual objects (furniture or other), for each of them it is important and necessary to give full attention from beginning to the end. The highest reward for me is to see people looking at my work and ask “Wow, is this 3D?”. It is part of my personality to strive for perfection, and I apply this attitude to any of my artworks.
3DA: From where do you take inspiration for your artworks?
RR: Some of my favourite 3D artist who inspired me are Bertrand Benoit, Alex Roman and Pixela etc. I’m also a great fan of photography, in particular product photograph because it inspires me on how to arrange my scene, composition and lighting.
3DA: What would you suggest to people that are approaching to 3D and architecture?
RR: Be patient, be creative and never give up! Be devoted to every new project!
